DESCRIPTION:

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Financial Aid.  The Financial Aid Counselor’s duties include counseling and advising students and parents on the various financial aid programs, assisting with the administration of one or more federal, state, or institutional financial aid programs, evaluating Financial Aid applications in order to determine student eligibility for various financial aid programs, and collecting data and keeping accurate records.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree preferred with one year of experience at an institution of higher learning focusing on financial aid and/or student counseling services or an Associate’s degree required with three (3) years of proven skills that focus on student/customer engagement, attention to detail, time management and administration support.

Strong motivational skills are a must to create a positive and engaging work environment. Applicant must have excellent communication skills utilizing confidentiality. Ability to handle difficult situations with sensitivity and responsiveness to student needs are also required and essential for this position. Applicant must have proven ability to prioritize, organize and collaborate among staff and management. Background and/or credit check may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Counsel students and parents regarding financial aid awards, eligibility, and processes;
  • Verify federal financial aid applications; Manage missing information communications
  • Assist with financial aid workshop presentations and in the management of program funds;
  • Perform verification of data and recalculation of financial aid needs;
  • Review student files to ensure compliance with federal, state and College regulations;
  • Manage private and corporate scholarship programs;
  • Determine students’ SAP eligibility; and
  • Perform other assignments as requested by the Director of Financial Aid.

Position Summary:

This is a full time position reporting to the director of Plant Operations and is responsible for performing a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services.

Responsibilities & Duties

Working knowledge and workmanship is required in the following areas:

  • Painting
  • Drywall repair
  • Carpentry
  • Perform work on special projects as assigned;
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on facility equipment and grounds.

DESCRIPTION:

To begin as soon as available, the PC/Network/System Technician (PNST) works under direct supervision of the Director of Technology in the Technology Services department for Brewton-Parker College. Applicants must be proficient in various computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Networking, Microsoft Server 2012/2016/2019, Active Directory, web-applications, database applications, computer hardware, software and hardware troubleshooting, familiar with Microsoft scripting using batch, Python, PowerShell or similar tool. Additional programming proficiency is preferred. This support staff position requires excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, proficiency in problem-solving, detail orientation, organizational skills, a self-starter, project management, a team member, and the ability to maintain confidences.  The PNST assumes responsibility for routine tasks using basic skills and established procedures while demonstrating both job knowledge and effective performance of responsibilities in IT.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualified candidates must have at least an associate’s degree or higher in IT or related area of study.  Candidates holding a bachelor’s degree will be preferred, as well as those holding certifications in A++, Network+, CCNA, MTA, MCSA, MCSE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • install, repair, and troubleshoot PC hardware, including drives, expansion cards, monitors, printers, scanners and other hardware necessary for IT to fulfill its mission
  • set up and maintain basic computer network operations, including but not limited to assembly of network hardware

Nursing Specialist Position: To begin during the 2019 fall semester, the Nursing Specialist must hold at least a master of science degree in nursing (MSN), current Georgia or multistate (NLC) licensure as a registered nurse, and must be able to demonstrate the level of nursing experience and expertise required by the rules of the Georgia Board of Nursing.  Duties will include conducting a feasibility study, preparing the letter of intent, and overseeing all other aspects of developing BSN and RN-BSN nursing education programs through the developmental- and initial-approval stages to the start of classes for the inaugural cohort.  Candidates with a terminal degree in nursing (DNP, Ph.D.), experience teaching in a nursing education program, additional licensure and certifications, and/or prior related work experience in starting a nursing education program will be preferred.

A part-time position, the Housekeeper works under the general direction of the Director of Plant Operations and assumes responsibility for routine tasks using basic skills and established procedures; demonstrates effective job knowledge; demonstrates initiative and motivation in performance of job responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to do general housekeeping
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work alone or in a team setting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in housekeeping in a commercial setting is preferred.

DESCRIPTION:

A part-time position under the direction of the Director of Student Activities, each lifeguard will be expected to work between 6 and 15 hours per week.   Pool clientele is limited to students and employees of Brewton-Parker.  Lifeguard is responsible for safeguarding pool attendees and allowing only approved individuals to gain entry.  Lifeguard is responsible for the upkeep of pool area during their shift and to report any problems identified to his/her supervisor.
